Indian Air Force AFCAT Recruitment 2020: The Indian Air Force has released AFCAT 2 2020 Employment Notification on its official website for recruitment to the post of Group A Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT-02/2020). 

Indian Air Force AFCAT 02/2020 Online applications will be start from 15 June 2020 to 14 July 2020. All interested aspirants will be able to apply to the posts at afcat.cdac.in. Date of online AFCAT examination will be held on 19 Sep 2020 and 20 Sep 2020 to fill up 256 vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria for AFCAT-02/2020) Recruitment 2020:

Educational Qualification Detailed Information:

  • Flying Branch: Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent or BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Ground Duty (Non-Technical Branches)

  • Administration: Passed 10+2 and Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
  • Education: Passed 10+2 and Post-Graduation with 50% in any discipline.
  • Meteorology: Post Graduate Degree in any Science stream with a minimum of 50% marks.

Ground Duty (Technical Branch):

  • Aeronautical Engineer(Electronics){AE(L)}: Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from recognized University.

Age Limit for AFCAT 02/2020 Notification:

  • Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry: 20 to 24 years
  • Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: 20 to 26 years

Selection Procedure for AFCAT 02/2020:

Candidates Will Be Selected On The Basis Of Written Test And SSB Interview.

How to apply for AFCAT 02/2020 Recruitment 2020:

Interested candidates will be required to complete the process of Online Application form which will have the following sequences –

(i) Click “CANDIDATE LOGIN’’ on the Home page- leads to AFCAT Sign-in.

(ii) In the next page, applicants to click “NOT YET REGISTERED? REGISTER HERE”. (iii) Sign Up: Creation of Log-in ID and applicant will receive a password in his/her registered email id.

(iv) After successful registration, sign-in with registered email id and system generated password.

(v) Reset Password- Log-Out (candidates must remember their login ID and password for future use during the examination process).

(vi) Go to fresh Log-in.

(vii) Selection of Entry: “AFCAT”; “NCC SPECIAL ENTRY FOR FLYING BRANCH”; “METEOROLOGY ENTRY”.

(viii) Click “INSTRUCTIONS”. Read Instructions carefully.

(ix) Acknowledgement of having read and understood instructions- Check box to proceed to next stage.

(x) Click “APPLICATION FORM FILLING” (aa) Personal Information.Fill in details. Click “SAVE AND CONTINUE” to proceed to next stage

(xi) Take a printout of the finally submitted online application for future reference.

How to upload documents for aFCAT 2 Recruitment 2020:

  • Upload recent Photo, Signature & Thumb Impression (size of each jpg/ jpeg file to be between 10 and 50 kb).
  • Application with inappropriate images will be considered invalid and the candidature will be rejected along with other counterfeit entries, whenever detected at any stage of the selection process.

Guideline for Uploading Document:

  • There will be separate links for uploading each document
  • Click on the respective link “Upload”.
  • Browse & select the location where the JPG or JEPG, PDF, DOC or DOCX file has been saved.
  • Select the file by clicking on it and Click the ‘Upload’ button.
  • Click Preview to confirm that the document is uploaded and accessible properly before submitting the application. If the file size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed.
  • Once uploaded/ submitted, the Documents uploaded cannot be edited/ changed.
  • After uploading the photograph/ signature in the online application form candidates should check that the images are clear and have been uploaded correctly. In case the photograph or signature is not prominently visible, the candidate may edit his/ her application and re-upload his/ her photograph or signature, prior to submitting the form. If the face in the photograph or signature is unclear, candidate’s application may be rejected.
